I will usually approve comments attacking me, unless they're totally cowardly (meaning totally anonymous) swipes.
But I won't approve comments attacking friends.
I'll post it but edit it.
Dear Commenter, I hope you like the slight edits I made to your self-aggrandizing bluster.
Artist ________'s work is painstakingly static and compulsively overdone time and again. ________'s appeal to commercial viability trumps creative artistry. I think the comparison you make of _______'s work to ________ ________ is a careless one at best, at least in theory: Artists like _____ _______, and known ____ists such as ____ ______ _____, or even ______ ______ vary their work. While ______istic qualities exist in ________'s work, they are rather superficial. The good _____ists I've studied in my many years as a professor of ____ _______ vary their work; _____ does not. When I view a _____ ______, I observe more superficiality (your comparison to X-Files is an apt one) and question whether ______ has talent to produce work that could incorporate a broader portfolio of talent.
So now at least we know how you feel.
Think.
Whatever.
