I'm not quite sure if the "sous chef" joke was missed or if people were just sharpening their knives for me.
The latter seems unlikely since the previous front page did very well.
Maybe it's just not funny. It's funny to me but I laugh at a lot of my own jokes. I don't see this as a liability. Even if they're not (externally) funny, I still enjoyed the laugh. It's quite possible I'm being an idiot but at least I'm still an idiot who enjoyed a laugh. And supposedly that releases B cells to help your immunity and health, so I should be a healthier idiot too.
I went back a thousand and seventy-one pages just now to see what the first LOL of mine was on Cheezburger that got favorited.
It was this one. The guy who favorited it apparently abandoned Cheezburger a few days later (I'd like to think I didn't have anything to do with that).
This never made fp but it did get a good Cheezburger rating.
This post probably makes no sense to anyone not immersed in the LOL/Cheezburger subculture.
Funny that my first LOL was a demotivational (positive thinking poster parody). Because I so rarely do those.
