People Searching for "Implantosaur" (One from North America)

I love tracking the radiation of my coinage Implantosaur.

Oh, and they're NOT putting "Implantosaur #1."

I hadn't clicked on that before!

What it actually means is my page ranks #1 for citations of this word.

That's why I'm getting people from all around the world.

Because I'm ground zero for "Implantosaur" they find me. lol

This gives me a potentially GREAT S.E.O. idea.

What if you based a blog around calculated neologism--but neologisms which anticipated words you knew would catch on.

I think that's a cool idea.

Because most popular tags you can't compete on. The numbers are just too great. But words which don't exist yet? You can. Because people stumble upon these ideas and seek their verification. But they rarely blog them. So you're staying out in front of language's evolution. And it's understood that sometimes you can see the future. In language just as in physics.

These three people all visited tonight by searching "Implantosaur."

You could also do the same the with typos. But I'm guessing typos would be more numerous and less original, hence the effect is going to be vitiated. You're not going to have as great an advantage. I've recently seen a young artist fall in love with typos and incorporate that into his poetry. I mentioned to him that I liked that and the precedents of deliberate unorthodox spelling in poetries of the past. Both strategies seem the verbal equivalent of seeking selective advantage through genetic mutation.

Neologism is harder. But potentially offers more rewards.

It's definitely all about memes. It always was. Nothing has changed. Only the technology. Not the process. Only our names for the process and our understanding of how it works (which can't be complete understanding since so much of it is chaos and probability).
