I was trying to remember if I had seen black people in the Harry Potter movies and I felt the answer was definitely "Yes."
And I was correct on that. But, of course, it's hard enough to keep track of all the "important" characters in the trilogy, let alone remember all the minor ones.
Well, except for the minor ones who are memorable for being very funny or very creepy or both---like that ghost girl who many said they believed was played by Daniel Radcliffe in drag.
I found different perspectives on the dearth of black students at Hogwarts.
One blogger cynically opined, "I suppose at graduation they get a white robe and a hood."
But I think the blogger at Retrocrush did a pretty fair analysis, and his conclusions look to be pretty much dead-on.
